Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

This is the first snow in four years.  Claudia is especially happy.  She has made snow ice-cream twice.  Yummmm.
Since we were snowed in, we watched all the inaugural activities via the computer projected on our big screen. We do appreciate the peaceful passing of one administration to another.

Scott, David, Claudia and the Bulman kids had fun canoeing in the snow.

Our new wheels

Thanks to all thirteen Damings for this amazing gift.  We are overwhelmed with your thoughtfulness and generosity.  Thank you, thank you, thank you to each and everyone of you.
It has been too cold to really enjoy it but warm weather is coming and we will be off and running.

The Dietzels

Dear Aaron, Kylie, Beth and Gareth,
You have blessed and enriched our lives for these past 3 weeks.  Thank you for all the work on David's house, the pleasant fellowship, new recipes, taking care of the dogs, teaching us a new game and helping when the water pump died. This list is grossly inadequate.

You will soon be crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Remember that some of that rock came from the land you just left.

Come again,
We love you,
Bill and Mary

Happy 86th Birthday, Bill

December 2008 activities

It is beginning to look like a house.  The Dietzel family has come to put on the siding.  What a blessing they are.
Here Aaron and his son Gareth are making real progress.

The family spent most of every hour in December working on David's house.  A lot of progress is being made. Windows are in and most of the framing is done inside waiting for electrical, plumbing, insulation, and sheet rock.

Blair is the official barber.

The Tsantles made a most creative Christmas Greeting. They put together pictures of the past year with the Browns and the church and projected them on a sheet hung from the side of their van. What a great gift. We are all out in front of the house viewing this wonderful remembrance.

Deborah is getting out the Christmas tree decorations.
What a beautiful tree. Deborah's wedding dress is hanging on the wall. There are pictures of their wedding, our wedding, Deborah's parent's wedding and Peter and kelly.
The tree is coming down.
Our tree pales in comparison but it has some special memories on it.
