Father Daughter Tea

May 4 and 5 the fathers and daughters of Hope Baptist Church gathered for fun and instruction.
Friday night they heard from Geoff Botkin and his two daughters. Elizabeth and Anna Sophia have written a book called, "So Much More" telling of the many opportunities girls have by being helpers at home for their fathers and mothers and being part of helping fathers achieve their vision for the family. Geoff gave his visions for his daughters and how he involved them in not only his work but in keeping the home and serving the community.

Saturday morning they all met at the Olde English Tea Room for brunch then walked across the street to a conference room to hear more about the relationship of fathers and daughters.
In the afternoon it was back to the barn for three legged races and the girls being led blindfolded through an obstacle course by the fathers. There was also shooting at targets.

The grand finale was a Sumptuous High Tea in the barn. Peter and Kelly were on the phone and talked about their experiences........ Kelly about being a daughter and Peter about being a brother of many sisters. They gave great practical insights.

Deborah was the master planner of the tea and many of us really did enjoy helping prepare and serve. There were many oohs and aahs.
This picture was taken from the loft looking down.
