Going our own ways to Georgia and South Carolina
Bill and I took a Senior Citizen Spring Break in South Carolina to visit Cousin Janet and her husband David Somers. First stop was Isle of Palms which is right on the Atlantic Ocean

This is a view of the house from the beach with a a closer view.below. The house is a nine sided structure with many interesting and different amenities including a glass elevator which we oldies really did appreciate since we slept on the third floor.
Here are the very happy, relaxed and content beach bums.... David and Janet Somers and Mary. The weather was perfect the whole time we were there.
We were too busy "looking" to take many pictures of Charleston with its old houses, the battery with a view of Ft. Sumpter in the harbor, the old Market down town where women were weaving sweet grass baskets and dining on delicious shrimp.
Next stop was to see the historic town of McClellanville, population 459 elevation 9 feet, in the Frances Marion National Forest. Uncle Frank(Frances Marion) Holmsley was named after him.
We had She Crab Soup for the first time here and it was delicious. She Crab soup is a creamy bisque of crab with the roe and sherry added at the end.
David's daughter son-in-law and granddaughter live here and own beautiful horses.
David and Janet have a beautiful home in Georgetown right on the inter coastal waterway. I need to mention that David is a retired Navy Captain and really needs and loves to be on and in the water. This house has many memorabilia of his life in the Navy and we so enjoyed seeing and hearing about his adventures.

David and Janet at the helm.
